Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care within our ophthalmology clinic. This position involves assisting patients to dispense and fit eyewear based on the prescription, taking precise facial and lens measurements, advising on frames and lens options and perform adjustments or repairs. Work closely with the Optician and optical lab to support patients journey through eye care.

Duties:

Interpret prescriptions, measure patients for frames and lenses and prepare work orders to the optical lab. Providing excellent customer service in helping patients select frames and lens materials, advise on frame fit and lens coatings and provide instructions for wearing and the care for glasses and lenses. The candidate will adjust and repair eyeglasses and contact lenses to ensure proper fit and vision. This role will manage inventory, process insurance and provide education on eye care.

Job Requirements:

Uphold aseptic techniques to ensure a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff. Educate patients on eye care and product use while providing care instructions as directed by the physician. Support clinic operations by managing equipment, supplies, and maintaining an organized workspace. Previous experience in an ophthalmology setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical office procedures and collaboration sales is advantageous.
